Work clothing,& travel expenses

The sectoral collective labour agreements in the service voucher sector determine that the employer must pay for work clothing and a travel allowance.

Work clothing

Work clothing (and its maintenance) must be provided by the employer:

  • If your employer does not provide you with work clothing and you have to provide it yourself,
    your employer must pay you an allowance of €1.40 per
    working day.
  • If you wash your work clothing yourself, an allowance of €0.25 per working day must be paid.

Travel expenses

Your employer (the company) must pay you an allowance for travel expenses. The allowance must be paid from the first kilometre in the following cases:

  • From your home to the 1st client and from the last client to your home:
    • Bicycle: €0.20/km
    • Public transport: 75% of travel expenses
    • Car or scooter/moped: 75% of travel expenses
  • Travel between 2 clients:
    • Bicycle: €0.20/km
    • Public transport: 100%
    • Own transport:
      • Less than 15 km: €0.13/km
      • More than 15 km: €0.15/km
    • Additional: Allowance for travel time between 2 clients: €0.11/km. with a minimum of €0.64 a day.
  • Shopping for a client:
    • Bicycle: €0.20/km
    • Public transport: 100%
    • Own transport: €0.2156/km
